The media often loves painting a sorry picture of the police force. Most times they are right, but this is SA, shock and horror stories sell newspapers.

How often does one see front page, feel good stories ?

As stated, vet was just 1km away....

You try. I don't care how old or frail you are, you get out of the car, pick up the dog and try. My dad is a pensioner. He runs 8 km 3 times a week.

Even if you don't make it, at least you can say you tried. He didn't. He sat there like a little bitch. Poor dog, if only it's master had a set of balls.
 
Have you ever tried to carry a boerbull by any chance?

They fekking weigh a ton, and aren't easy to carry.. even for a young physically fit human being.

And knowing the type of cop that was manning this roadblock they wouldn't have let him carry his dog to the vet.

You are thinking with your arse my friend. You are stopped at the roadblock, not your car. They are detaining you not your car. You cannot walk anywhere regardless. This is just an example of someone thinking as far as their nose. He could not have carried a fly if he wanted to. HE WAS DETAINED IN A ROADBLOCK!!!. Now realize this and rethink your, make a plan response thank you.

I'm a big dude and I struggle to lift a Boerbul ...... not to mention that when a friend of mine once got gatvol of waiting and tried to get out his car, the cops went all psycho. You're a chop, through and through. You grow a pair of balls, keyboard warrior fool.

They clearly saw a civilian who wanted to get somewhere and they decided to "exercise" their "authority" because they are simpletons who enjoy having power over people.
They do this all the time to varying degrees. They may have handed out the military titles, but they did not hand out the accompanying humiliation and ideology aimed at humbling perceived authority.

This utter lack of respect that the Metro display on a daily basis is the whole reason why I have never paid a speeding fine in my life. I will not support these animals. And anyway, if they say dogs dont count, where do pigs stand on their scale of relavance? George Orwells animal farm anyone?
 
Why didn't he drive to the front of the queue and explain what was going on? I must admit if I was a policemen holding a roadblock and saw a car doing a u-turn to get out of it I'd also be suspicious, wouldn't you guys?

Knowing these incompetent criminals, he probably would have been fired upon for daring to drive to the front of the queue. It makes sense. I mean he'd have been approaching them instead of u-turning at the end of the queue so chances are they may actually have had a chance to hit him and feel triumphant and important over their supreme shooting ability.

This is the 3rd incident involving JMPD I've heard of this week. One involved a guy who was pulled over on the highway on his way to Durbs from JHB. The monkey in uniform came out of the blue with information that the driver had been speeding (without a shred of proof nor with any speed trapping equipment on the scene) and simply demanded cash. When the driver asked for proof the metro became aggressive and told him that he'd be spending a night in jail if he didn't pay. Driver told him he was aware of his rights and that he'd take the cop to the cleaners over the incident so eventually the metro gave up and sent him on his way. The sack of excrement obviously wanted a month's worth of free lunches judging by the price of the alleged offence.

Then there was the incident of a guy winning R140k at a JHB casino. The guy called a friend to pick him up and decided to keep the cash on him. Meanwhile, some dodgy casino employee in cahoots with the local metro criminals (who regularly patrol the stretch outside the casino) had informed their undoubtedly overfed friend that some "fresh meat" was leaving the casino as a passenger in xyz vehicle. Cop pulled them over, totally ignored the driver and forcefully proceeded to search the passenger. Obviously questions from the bewildered occupants of the car went totally unanswered; you know, the primary being why the hell the passenger of a vehicle was being searched for no apparent reason. The metro cop handed the money back to the passenger and sent the two on their way. Well, upon closer inspection after the Keystone encounter, the guy noticed that he was now R40k light. What a big surprise! May you be flattened by a bus in your little blue and orange car!

Um, last I checked it is illegal to leave your car at a roadblock. But next time you are stopped at one, you are more then welcome to try and leave your car to test what will happen.;):whistle:

For my cat Tigga, I would've left my car and walked, or at least tried my best too. I love her with my life (pics in my profile). I would move heaven and earth to get her to the vet, but then again like others said, carrying a gigantic boerbull is not so easy.

Yeah, actually feel the same way about my own pets. Two small dogs and a cat that was feral I found in a dirt bin that has adopted us. Both the dogs are old and one has epilepsy. We always end up taking care of all the stray animals that cross our path.
