If I see something lying on the floor I ask people around it first, you don't just go a pick it up, it is not yours.

With all the constant crime in our faces all the time, literally hundreds of videos on facebook/youtube of people in restaurants stealing from hand bags, cant blame a person for jumping straight to guilty.

People praying (eyes most likely closed) and not aware, aunty walks past and see's phone sticking out handbag (sorry lying on the ground) and and and...

The more serious the charge you can get more money from HRC, civil case and settlement to drop the charge.

That is not true, the natural reaction of any sane person that sees a phone on the floor will pick it up, firstly, it is a safety hazard and someone will slip and fall, second it is a phone and is an important personal item that belongs to someone
The act of picking up a phone that is laying on the floor is completely reasonable and acceptable behaviour

It happened in a restaurant, so there should be enough witnesses to verify that aspect. It might be racist using racist language, or the race card. No one knows for now. You two should hold onto your panties for now.

I have seen dropped wallets, cash, credit cards and cell phones on the floor. FFS just ask the nearest person if it is theirs.
What's so difficult about this.
Exept if you plan to steal peoples belongings.

Its a tile or brick floor. If a cellphone falls on the ground from a pocket you will hear it.
