Corrupt PST

Hi
I have a corrupt PST from Outlook 2000. I have tried to run scanpst but it gives an error and stops. An error has occurred which caused the scan to stop and no changes are made. I ran the 2gb tool from Microsoft to make the file smaller and then run scanpst no luck.
I tried my scanpst from 2010, no luck

I have selected the pst file as the default file and tried to import it with Thunderbird but no luck.
I know Get data Recover my emails can recover the emails but if I don’t have to purchase software it will be better.
Any other ideas?

PsTools cant recover mails. Have you tried adding the PST as a data file in another Outlook profile?

Its generally advisable to always keep your PST files under 2gb.

What did the 2GB crop tool say when run? What error message does scanpst give when you try scan it

the 2gb tool made the file smaller, scanpst just says An error has occurred which caused the scan to stop and no changes are made.
