Corsa Lite Cam Belt Replacement.

Howzit guys

My 2005 Corsa Lite has 83000 km on the clock and I want to replace the cam belt and water pump myself.

Where can I buy a proper belt and pump of good quality that I can trust around Johannesburg South?

Does anyone have any tips or info regarding changing those two items.

It's a bit early from what I remember.

That job is only at 105 or 120000 km.

Unless you suspect a problem?
 
I believe the interval is at 75 000km or 4 years.

If so it's 8000km and 6 years over due.
 
Mine is at 104000km and 7 years old and still have not done it.
Mechanic told me at 120 000km is good
 
Don't replace it until you need to, get an OEM cambelt kit from a dealer, any old water pump will do go into a Midas or Autozone.

EDIT: "need to" does NOT mean let it break before changing it, see below!

Corsa lites have non interference heads. Nothing will break if the cambelt snaps. Just klap a new belt on and off you go.
 
Up to the Corsa C and Astra G the cambelt needs to be replaced every 75,000km. The Corsa D has a timing chain and Astra H is 120,000km.

So you should change the cambelt in the Lite every 75,000km

mine overheat then mechanic change gasket tourp now carnot starting with key !only Kickstarter can, and power is not having power
