Counterfeit software reports soar, says Microsoft

Yay! :D

Piracy FTW! :p

Seriously though... lower your prices and piracy would not be such a massive problem... just saying. R2000 plus for Windows 7? Are you serious?

Microsoft must be happy that people are pirating their product rather than using the FOSS alternative.

My challenge, for what it's worth, is to anyone who can show that they have used more than 50% of the newer features in the next version of a microsoft program.

Well list them and let's see :D

I use sticky notes all the time, the fact that i can put 2 windows next to each other in a couple seconds is also great.

And all too often the knee-jerk reaction from Microsoft (WGA, WPA etc) inconvenients the honest customers, yet does not deter the pirates.

This is software that you use everytime you use your PC. In context: if a game costs R500 then R2 000 really isn't that much to spend on your OS.
You can get Windows 7 home premium for a bit over R1 000 though.

So where do I report a previous company that I worked for that use pirate software?

the somlians are the biggest pirates of them all, go get em Microsoft me matey, Arrrrrrrrrr!

I hear they do free tours into somalian waters and its surrounds. you can hire big guns too.
