Coup/protest in the US

Nah. It's a relatively miniscule number of silly people in DC, which doesn't affect most people.

agreed. i really want to see the numbers, a few weeks from now when everyone has stopped hysterically lying about them. this looks a 1000 people at best, and mostly the same mix of cosplay Q fantasists and neo-nazi flag wavers that have desperately seeking media attention for 2 years.

Dude, why are all the American crazies on this forum??

I just can't understand why any SA citizen would be this invested in defending Republicans, Trump, etc. every single time there is anything America related. Like is that your life? Sucking at the proverbial c#ck of America? I can only imagine you'd do that if you live there.

These thread usually start out ok and then these guys show up here with their MURCA bs and it goes downhill.

Its the guys from Boksburg!

A few well known protesters identified:
One of the most startling images, quickly shared across social media, shows a man dressed with a painted face, fur hat and horns, holding an American flag.

He's been identified as Jake Angeli, a well-known supporter of the baseless conspiracy theory QAnon. He calls himself the QAnon Shaman.

For good reason:

You do know that Godwins law is a stupid internet "rule" and whataboutism is a genuine logical fallacy right? While the name "whataboutism" is quite internety the reasoning behind it is not.

you missed the point.

hypocrisy can be pointed out and is sometimes as blatant as sunlight.

whataboutism is a lot of the time just throw around even while a claim of hypocrisy is relevant. just as people squeal godwins law even though drawing similarities to nazism is relevant.

its as if pointing out hypocrisy no longer exists because someone will twist its relevance and claim whataboutism, just like mentioning nazism was so watered down that even godwin came out and said its gone overboard.

also, both whataboutism and godwins laws originated from the internet.
