Couple assaulted at KFC drive-through

Are you then willing to admit that SA has a problem with violence and aggression?

Agreed. Wish those lions that escaped some time back could have sorted them out.

Thank you. Your post makes more sense than the ones that look for an excuse to defend the indefensible. However, I still stand by my initial comment that this incident was racially motivated. It would be nice to think that racism is dead, but it's not.

From the sound of the article [they destroyed a McD's as well?] sounds like these were guys that couldn't handle their drugs/booze whatevs. But we must be careful to think that EVERYTHING is racially motivated, perhaps a case of wrong place wrong time? I assure you people like this will beat up a white guy and girl with just as much eagerness as this couple.

IF they threw in a few 'racist' words, then sure, nail them on a racism charge as well, but they def deserve some jail time for assault and attempted murder. Our society doesn't have place for people like this, and all they do is add to the racial tension of the country, the ANC guys are finger licken their lips when **** like this happens!

We used to call these types of guys "planks"
The type that always looks for a fight, even had instances where guys would try and assault one's girlfriend to get you to fight them then 3 guys would attack you.

Lock them up.

And the word is "cowards", most of them are when you challenge them one on one

Fifth suspect arrested in KFC racial assault

Captain Kay Makhubele told Sowetan the man has been handed over to the Sinoville police station in Pretoria by his lawyer.

“What's important is that we've arrested the fifth man. He was taken in by his lawyer‚” said Makhubele. “We have now one suspect outstanding.”

They have been named as M Harding‚ 22‚ O Miller‚ 20‚ RJ Mel‚ 39‚ and DJ van Rooyen‚ 21. Only Harding has been released on bail.

Do you have to listen to the video audio to pick on why the media is labeling it a racial attack, because reading the article doesn't make the racism clear? And they're only being arrested on assault and gun charges from the police comments.

Sure? The alleged attack happened on Saturday. Shjo that was fast.

It is normal for people arrested over a weekend to appear on Monday, how else is it that one of them got bail. The charges are serious enough to exclude police bail over the weekend which means they must have appeared.

I posted the only article not titled "6 White men assault Black couple".

One was granted bail, other 3 not, they gave false addresses apparently.

I think the attack was over a few ago already.

That video is hardly evidence of anything other than chaos. You have absolutely no idea WTF is happening, nor who did what to who.
The best thing I can say is let the police and justice system sort it out. Taking one side or another is going to cause $hit.

You can see by KFC's tweets, that they are doing just that. They are not making value judgements, nor are they giving any condemnation to any particular group outside of a condemnation of violence of violence in general.

Compared to how Spur handled their WWF match... A good thing I suppose.
