Coverage map available!!!

I get:

504 Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
Code:
A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request.
Could not open error file

I get the following on firefox:

Failed to Connect

The connection was refused when attempting to contact salesportal.neotel.co.za.

Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection.

* Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.

I was also getting those weird time outs and network errors today, on other sites not related to Neotel. This from a Telkom Adsl line.

I did go to look at the coverage map, but it was sluggish and didn't want to actually load, so I gave up for the time being.

Will check back again soon though.

How accurate do you guys think this map is? According to the map, the mall accorss the street and the school accross the mall has got excellent coverage but I don't have coverage at my house...

When I search my area, i get the following: Geo Feasibility GFID 31609 above my map. What is this for?

The salesportal site appears to be on neotel's own network and not like www.neotel.co.za that is hosted on I.S.?

Not good at all if those are the speeds to be expected  :'-(

Works for me...

But I'm also questioning how accurate it is.... Goes from excellent Coverage to no Coverage... nothing in between.

It ain't accurate they rough estimates..
They told me I was not covered for Prime and when one of the technical representative came to my house, and the thing had 4 bars the device..

Still nothing in Alberton (All pink).

Anyone know what the workable range from a base station is? I mean do I have to wait till they put up a tower on my doorstep - or can I connect from 10km away?

Apparently only 3km :(

Only lite in my area. I think Lite only areas will give you worse speed than lite in prime areas.

I am also not covered. Not surpised though. I am only right next to the CBD

It's not like the CBD has any businesses there that might want internet.

What. What does cbd stand for again.

Cbd stand for: CANT BUILD DISH

And every business needs a dish. Thats why you get so few business's there. If you can't get a singnal then what is the point.

is green the covered area? howcome its so patchy? wat do you have to do to have a neotel guy come round and check the signal at your place?
