Hi everyone,

Maybe someone can help me understand.
The telkom coverage map shows my area being covered for VDSL (up to 4mb), I may be ignorant but this doesn't seem right? My complex in not shaded green (ie. the coverage for VDSL) but all around us is.

Typing in my address says I'm covered for LTE, 3g ,vdsl but no ADSL.

Does this mean I need to get VDSL (never heard of VDSL 4mb though)

Seems to be a Telkom naming convention problem as I'm presumably able to get 10Mbps VDSL despite being 3.2kms from the exchange. Investigations with the assistance of MickeyD proved otherwise so I'm still on 10Mbps ADSL.

Reckon you're good for 4Mbps ADSL so use that as a starting point, iirc Telkom are running a special atm.

Thanks, yeah thought so as well.
Weird by clicking on a few other houses in the complex it brings up ADSL, and at higher rates. I am basically just going with... "I cant trust the coverage map" and will experiment with speeds when they eventually sort my line out / fix the cabling issues / who knows.

:D
