Hoping someone who's been through the process may be able to offer further info, recently got this update from my estate manager regarding fibre rollout :
Although Telkom has installed the fibre, you can now approach any internet service provider of your choice to find out about the various options available for fast internet access as they are using an “Openserve” system. If you use another service provider they will internally rent the use of the fibre from Telkom at no extra cost for the consumer.
If I check the Telkom coverage map it's still on light purple ( fibre planned ) so upon calling Axxess to signup was told I'll have to wait for the map to be updated before applying.
Any idea how long this will take?
