CPU Cooler Advice

Why don't you get an internal water system?
I have the Coolermaster ALC-U01-U1. Gonna get the new Big Water
All-in-one liquid cooling system, installation is a breeze!
Multiple Installation Options - Aquagate can be installed into the standard computer case (using two 5 1/4" drive bays), a spare PSU bay in the computer case, or used as an external device.
Adjustable Fan Speed fulfills both low noise and high performance characteristics.
Functionality - The LCD on the Aquagate front panel performs real-time system monitoring.
Optimum System Safety - Customizable water temperature, CPU temperature warning and low water level display.
Durability - High quality AC pump ensures reliability and longevity.

Got a E6420 running at 3.2gHz stock voltage.
Going to go for the E9450 :)
My temps are 34* load :)

Hey Tyson ... you stealing my thread :P

@Synergy, was looking at the Aquagate ... but they discontinued ... and from what I've heard ... the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme will cool better than the Aquagate.
Can't find this anywhere on the price comparison sites or pricelists: ALC-U01-U1

I have a couple units in stock if you're interested (Durban)
Ah sorry, its ALC-U01, and they are discontinued.
See this:

Also, I'm lloking to get the Aquagate Max (RL-HUB-KBU1-GP)
Just released.

How much for the RL-HUB-KBU1-GP ...

With the ALC-U1 ... I heard they aren't as good as the Thermalright high end air cooling

Yeah i might be interested in that aguagate, never done water cooling, something new to try. Will vomit if it leaks on my pc. ZAP

lol. I was a bit suspect myself at first, but I've been lugging my case around and everything, not a single drop. Uses an anti leak/drip nozzle.
The Aquagate goe's ALC-u1 for about R500 these days

Wat board you running, and what processor and speed? Also what graphics card?

Gigabyte 8800GT 512MB OC'd a bit.
Gigabyte 965-DQ6
E6420 @ 3.2gHz stock voltage.
Going to upgrade to the E9450
4GB 800Mhz Ram 5-5-5-12

@Scooby_Doo: lol. Yep

Yo Synergy from what i can see the 965 DQ6 does not support the Q9 series.

p.s. I use the Thermalright 120 and it kills my old aquagate (120mm version)

I have a ZALMAN 9700 on my Q6600. On 3GHz I get 48-52 degrees under load.

Scooby_doo ... as far as I know, if you have a problem, put the old heatsink back on if there is a problem. If the problem is overclocking related, then no warranty, but if it is not ... there is a warranty. From what I've heard this is how it works.

Yeah ... I've almost convinced myself on the iFX-14 ... just hope the damn thing fits. Night people.

I have a 120 in a 690 and that is a tight fit, cannot use one of my top fans so i would be careful with anything that big

Just checked the specs ... the IFX-14 is 1 mm taller than the Ultra 120 :P ... the problem is the back plate probably won't fit in this case. It would have been fine if the PSU was at the top though.
