CPU prices plummet

Dude, anything intel is wasting money. They are evil and cope every AMD idea they can.

Duh! I gathered that long tym ago.
Im not changing my whole Setup for a CPU, if I have Intel Chipset tough, then I must use Intel ;)
Selling my Mobo and getting 790FX and Phenom II 940 would be shweet, but a waste of time and money.

Roux shame man it must suck using such slow cpu's :), while you spend days converting files us intel users spend a day :p

Please AMD failed again at bringing a decent cpu to the market. Time for i7 now that amd have failed badly once again :(.

I'd rather use a VIA 1Ghz before I use an Intel 50Ghz.

They are evil and their practices are unethical, scaly, anticompetitive.... I can go on. I really don't care if they can move the moon and the stars, I will never own an intel again.

I've a friend who's an avid AMD fangirl. We once had a chat where she said that Intel Quad Core CPUs are basically just two dual cores glued together. So I laughed and said, "Yeah, and they still outperform AMD" :)

She didn't speak to me for a month :(

As I said, I don't care if it is AMD or VIA or even CrapCompCPU - as long as it is not intel. Their unethical moves and absolute moronic approach to everything is enough to make me never use them.

Roux : You should get over your fanboi-ism. Get the fastest and best CPU on the market that you can afford and invariably atm that is an Intel chip.

Loser or not, it is like the old adage....

Actually I'll "drive" anything but intel. Got any VIA Eden CPUs ? :p

Whats that got to do with anything.. You said AMD always copy Intel.. In this case its the other way around.

Besides that.. who invented the X86.. EPIC fail.. dad

You really call price drops "copying" each other?

Obviously any company has to respond to a competitors price drops, that's how it works. You copy technologies, patents, ideas etc.

Well yes, but the statement that Intel always copies AMD is then incorrect, as they copy each other

But as for history:
1975 AMD introduced a reverse-engineered clone of the Intel 8080 microprocessor
1982, AMD signed a contract with Intel, becoming a licensed second-source manufacturer of 8086 and 8088 processors
1991, AMD released the Am386, its clone of the Intel 386 processor
2006 AMD received subpoenas from the Justice Department regarding possible antitrust violations in the graphics card industry, including the act of fixing prices (Intel was already charged in the late '80s and '99, so they were again behind)

Kinda of bad though, You buy a license from a company to make their product.. and then sue them all the time because they are better than you, and copied you as well :D

lol since when was Intel better than AMD during the Presshot days ?

:p

Thats debatable.

I saw some AMD's fail really bad.. also installed an AMD athlon as a server machine for a company that they still use today. But I've seen the same happen for INTEL

Currently Intel have the best proc on the market... that is just the way it is. At some point in the future AMD might have the best on the market. Everything goes in cycles.

Intel might have the raw power but amd is better value for money. so if you want the best and fastest be willing to pay a lot.

Kalvaer, I said intel copies AMD, not the other way round.

While you are being so clever, why don't you tell us about merced and how intel said it will be so good the competition might as well just close their doors ?
