Craigslist used for prostitution?

o noes - not prostitution!

really, these people need to focus on important matters, like global warming and starvation.

hah global warming and starvation. You can't solve both of those problems, it is a "one or the other" kind of deal. If you save people from starvation, there will be more people in the world, therefore more pollution will need to be generated to provide for those people (and their children, because lets face it, the kind of people that are starving are generally not the kind of people that practice birth-control). You have now successfully accelerated global warming. Congratulations.

We need less people, not more. Perhaps a policy of mandatory sterilisation for all newborns for the next few years to curb our population growth, that will solve starvation AND help to reduce (or at least slow the progression of) global warming. Yay!

Global warming and starvation...haha!

What a one sided view. Better education and opportunity could lead to fewer births. more food and less pollution. Just one example.
Not everything is one or the other.

How exactly does one provide better education and opportunity without polluting more?

If those people survive (don't starve to death), that is more people in the world. Wrap it up in any words you want to, more people still means more pollution, regardless of their level of education or the opportunities they are provided with.

Regardless of socio-economic status every human being pollutes in some way.
