Ever since adding more airtime yesterday it has been as slow as watching paint dry.

Web pages time out, won't open or is so damn slow you just give up.

Gonna shut everything down in 30min and see what happens in the morning.

Can it be that Virgin decided to 'cap' you?

I had the same problem with VM's GPRS for most of the time the last 5
months here in the platteland.
So monday morning i bought myself a MTN PAYGo, bought R100.00
airtime with which i bought 100Mb for 1 month, and what a pleasure
to surf again with web pages that does not take ages to open.
Well OK that is 50c up, but my stress level is much lower now.

Hi Antowan,

Thank your for getting in touch with Virgin Mobile.

We have been experiencing major problems with our connections, however, our Data Specialists are working on these problems.

We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience.

Yours in Mobility
Virgin Mobile Team

Email I got from them.

Having trouble staying connected to the TurdoCash forum.

I keep getting logged out because there is seemingly now connection.

Earlier today I could not send mail......... they seemed to be blocking random ports and 465 which is Gmail SMTP or throtteling to death.

K@k throughput , but I guess cheap access means cheap service.

Lets give'em a chance. If they pull through it would be a brilliant boon for South Africa at their prices. Come on VM! Come on! :)

Ag no man! Come on VM! I tried it last night again. It starts up perfect and then within 5 seconds the "connection reset" errors kick in.
