Creating me-time in a relationship without upsetting your partner

1. Humberto you should communicate with your GF about your me time. Not an internet forum.

2. I tried to think up the saddest internet forum nick for myself, but mike hoxbig has beaten me to it. By a long shot.

My wife understands completely, my time usually involves mountain biking twice on weekends and many a night playing PC games. However I do try balance is out, and when I game its only for a couple or hours and not the whole night.

She loves to read and watch crap TV shows.. she can do this when im doing my thing, and we are both happier for it.

seriously though, this is basically it. Woman take it personally in the beginning, but they eventually get it and figure out that its nothing personal. Guys just need "cave time" just like woman need time with the girls to talk their heads off. She goes out to visit mom, or girls and I play games. It is all about balance though

I have this picture in my mind of this 20-something loser with handle-bar salvador dali moustache. He loves the sound of his own voice. Likes to ask advice threads on this here forum that are not so much "I have a problem with my ferrari" questions that they can't resolve - they're just that loser's way of telling us (on the internet, where you all lie through your teeth) that he has a ferrari.

I just don't know if that person is nuke or humberto.

I do not have a moustache,I have a beard/goatee
and no I dont have an over inflated ego/arrogance issue

anyway I agree,humberto is a much better troll than me,except I dont troll(my threads are genuine with bits of ridiculousness)

As regards the troll thing, I'm not really a troll. I post "works of fiction" but beyond that I don't vandalise the forums or derail other people's threads. I do not incite arguments. All my works of fiction are posted in Off Topic though not all of my threads in Off Topic are works of fiction; all my threads in the other subforums are essentially true, though sometimes slightly embellished. I never post fiction in other people's threads, only in the ones I start. So I'm not really a troll in the true sense.

Lately it irritates me when I ask a serious question only to have it dismissed as trolling and get mocked and called names.
