Credit Card Question

Hi,

Just a bit confused with this.

Went to singapore last week, paid for my hotel when leaving. When i came back i checked online (absa) and saw the payment sitting in pending/uncleared for 29k.
I checked again a few days later and there is now nothing under pending/uncleared but nothing has been taken out the account. Does this mean i paid nothing for the hotel or will it eventually get taken out my account?
 
Credit card account, all my other purchases with the card are listed under transactions, but this one for 29k is not showing and is not under uncleared anymore, but nothing has been taken from my CC account. Not complaining, but seems rather strange. If it was declined would it not still show up as uncleared/pending, i do have enough in the account to cover it so i don't see why it would have been declined.

Next step: You might actually have to stoop to calling your bank's card division and asking them to give an accounting of this anomaly. ;)
 
Could it be that your bank reversed the transaction as a fraud protection measure, seeing as its abroad?

Hmm, that sounds plausible, would have expected a call from them or something though, but then again this is absa.
 
Kalahari use to bill like that.

Reserved amount would missing and a few days later it would go off the card.
