Cricket: International Discussion Thread

Hopefully for you mybb lads, your sand paper hero 3m Steve mate can continue scoring 142 and 144 runs for the rest of the series....

Myself, I reckon he is done, used up all the luck. Then again I could be very very wrong.
I don't favour either team. But I thought after the controversial WC victory.. The POM's got hammered.

Spotted a weakness here for steve smith... he seems to be getting out in the nervouse 140's and not going on to get a big one :P

James Anderson ruled out of the second Ashes test due to his calf injury. Chance then for someone like Joffra Archer to stake a claim.

Would be interesting to see if they persist with Joe Denly. At 33 he doesn't seem like part of any long term plan.
Dominique Sibley might come in contention. Only 23 and highest domestic run getter.

West Indies vs India, 3rd T20I

India opt to bowl

West Indies
Sunil Narine, Evin Lewis, Nicholas Pooran(w), Kieron Pollard, Shimron Hetmyer, Carlos Brathwaite(c), Rovman Powell, Keemo Paul, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas, Fabian allen

India
Shikhar Dhawan, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, Rahul Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini

35 and only taken 6 fc wickets.
Won't cut it.

Denly was picked as a batsman, not as an All-rounder. Don't think Hildreth will get picked too old. England need to bring in Leach, maybe drop Moeen Ali. Leach gives England a longer tall but Jofra Archer can bat.

First ODI WI v India in Guyana.

Plenty of rain delays so far. Players off now because of a few wet patches in the field.

Not a great news. The umpires are not happy with the ground conditions and the players are walking back. Expect some more reduction in the number of overs.

Their super-sopper was a few foam mattresses laid down and ground staff doing the stomp-dance over it. Carry it off and come back for some more :X3:

Lewis Found one-day mode.
Gayle is playing for a draw.

Perhaps it is time for Gayle to do the Hash-thing?

3.12pm And it has been called off. Only 13 overs of play was possible on a damp day here in Guyana. Gayle, playing in his 299th ODI, manged just 4 off 31 - his slowest innings of 25 balls or more. This means he will have to wait for going past Brian Lara's record of most ODI runs by a West Indies batsman. The caravan now moves to Trinidad for the second and the third ODI.
