Congrats to Rahkeem Cornwall on making his West Indian test debut. At 1,96 m 140kg he proofs cricketers come in all shapes and sizes. He looks a lot finer than a years ago. Lat year he was at 160kg.

This and why not let Zondo bowl his off-spin, if Reeza Hendricks was ask to bowl why not let someone with almost 74 career wickets(FC 43, listA 17, 20/20 14) bowl.

Was a Free Stater, played for Northerns/Titans last season. He signed Kolpak in April.

Leus du Plooy: Derbyshire sign South African batsman on Kolpak deal

County Championship Division Two side Derbyshire sign South African batsman Leus du Plooy on a two-year Kolpak deal.

Derbyshire have signed South African Leus du Plooy on a Kolpak deal.

The 24-year-old middle-order batsman, who will be available for all formats of the game, has penned a two-year contract committing him to the club until the end of the 2020 season.

"I've wanted to play in England for a while," said Du Plooy, who will make his debut in Friday's One-Day Cup opener against Northamptonshire.

"The squad have made a good start. I want to score runs and do well."

Du Plooy was the leading run-scorer for Northerns in South Africa's Provincial One-Day Challenge with 595 runs at an average of 74.12, including three centuries and two half-centuries.

He has amassed over 2,693 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 48.08 and made his last appearance for Northerns on Sunday in their drawn Provincial Three-Day Cup Final against Eastern Province at Port Elizabeth.

"We've been monitoring his progress for a while now," said Derbyshire director of cricket Dave Houghton. "And we've been very impressed with what we've seen. His recent form speaks for itself."

Kolpak contracts are signed by foreign-born players whose countries have associate trade agreements with the European Union, using a European Court ruling to avoid counting against the quota of one overseas player per club.

Anyone watching the Windies vs India game. There is a guy bowling called Rahkeem Cornwall.

Man, this guy is bigger than the biggest rugby player coming in at 140kg! Haven't seen him batting yet, or more importantly running between the wickets...

As you might have guessed he's a spin bowler and not a fast bowler :)

Last year he was 160+kg, in one first class game he bowled 60 overs and score a 50 batting. He is big but looks fit enough for cricket.
