Cricket: International Discussion Thread

They've taken the spice out of cricket.

They just took some money...he's not banned :p

Gerald also does the not-looking at the ump thing - it's annoying. I half wish he doesn't take another wicket until he learns some manners or Nortje comes back to take his test spot. I honestly find that more annoying than some verbals or a send-off.

India getting a proper hiding. I was rather hoping they'd kill off Australia's WTC chances, but that’s not happening.

Not even a thought of trying to draw...it was disgraceful.

In the Aus-Ind game, Steve Smith dropped an absolute sitter off KL Rahul who went on to make a good score (70-odd). India just barely avoided the follow-on.

Almost no chance of an Aussie win now and it was only slim before with only Cummins and Starc available to bowl (Hazlewood pulled a muscle).

Well depends on the weather. There is enough time without rain.

Yeah, it's not looking good on the weather front...hopefully the forecast isn't accurate.

Not sure who I'm rooting for here - India need a 3-1 series win (I think) to qualify outright so it's not critical for them to win and even less so for Australia so a no-result doesn't seem to eliminate anyone.

I do like seeing the Indians humbled nowadays - since Warner has left, the Aussies are a more likable team than before (for me).

Bumrah is having a great time down under...those are very impressive numbers. Still 9 wickets up for grabs in this innings.

I guess India will now have to find another bowler to open when they play at home...

Rohit Sharma and Kohli are both averaging 25 in tests in 2024 (14 and 10 matches played respectively). India are paying the price for not being brave enough to drop at least one of them.

I think Rohit is a net negative when you throw in his mediocre captaincy...India looked much more on it when Bumrah was in charge during the first test.

Wow, very interesting. Quite some scorecard. Think that one is heading for a draw.

Bumrah is pumped! Hot stuff at MCG. Been a very interesting test.
