Cricket: International Discussion Thread

Stokes on his way to losing the ashes quicker the Nasser did.
Only Nasser lost to an atg team in their prime. Stokes losing to grandad's Army missing Cummins and Hazlewood.
Lets see if he can avoid losing inside 11 days.

Bazzballers going on holiday and beefy is fuming.

Based on their trend and trajectory, another loss feel inevitable to the Poms. Unless the lads can find a way to grind out important passages of play, the Aussies will go 3 - 0 up. The Aussies aren't a team to in guns blazing without a thought for the next over.

I know you all having a laugh at England Whright now..

I personally love the way England cricket is going.

The Lads should be playing more golf and soaking up the sun, beach and holiday vibes.

Media can go **** themselves.

This Australian team isn't particularly great either - the English wickets have generally just been thrown. The one time they tried batting properly, Stokes and Jacks batted for 3 hours together. Pity the game was already gone at that point.

I'm quite happy to see them lose playing the way they do - the hubris to think they can ignore the conditions or the opposition having a good session is disrespectful, imo. What happened to toughing it out in the opening session and earning the right to score more freely when the ball is older and the bowlers coming back for their third or fourth spells?

If they get whitewashed for only the second time since WW2, it will be well deserved.

Nah, no problem with the fans - they deserve better than what they're getting from this team and management.

South Africa and India beat them. You’d think England could at least win a test.

Wood and Hazlewood ruled out of the rest of the ashes.
Pat Cummins expected back for Adelaide.

Well put.

The Australians have caught the Xmas spirit...been gifting England wickets all day.

Pitch maintenance done by the Adelaide Roads Agency :p

Proper day's cricket for a change. Eight wickets and 300+ runs in a day. Fair trade I think...

The end result is in the right place but I thought both teams were poor today - England's loose bowling matched up with Australia's loose batting.

A mediocre day from both teams though England should be happier given how flat the pitch is.

Matched by the poor snicko on Carey.

Aus apparently use RTS while rest of the world use Ultra edge.
Twice now in the series were it seems to have malfunctioned.

I liked Athers' take on it - basically saying the goal should be a 100% error-free decisions but that's impossible and you have to accept a roughie or bit of good luck now and then.

Then I remembered him smashing one off Donald to the keeper and just standing there so I get where he got that from.
