Bangladesh beats Australia.

Is this the death knell for test cricket?

I'd say it's the thing that sparks the so called minnows to look for more and bigger scalps. To be a truly great team you need to win internationally and in all conditions. Warner was again solid upfront and they should have won after his knock. But their batting was too fragile again.

Never mind, well done Sri Lanka and West Indies on the upsets.

England have a habit of getting complacent thrash Windies and SA in the opening tests, think it is all too easy and then get beat in the next test.

We really should not be losing to these sort of teams.

Anyone else feel like the troubles in SL are a direct result of the 2009 Lahore attack?
a generation of cricketers lost, lead to the current generation not having strong leadership.
basically, fear, lack of funding and no players playing a few years ahead of them, discouraged the players.

at least that is my opinion.

and I do not see something like that happening in SA, despite all the KOLPAK deals, there are still a lot of players putting in the effort and that leads to young talent having someone walking the path in front of them.

kricket is like a line of ants, remove a section from the line, and those left behind will fail for a bit, but eventually rejoin the line and be stronger for it.

how much psychological damage was done?

I dont know how much psychological damage was done but all injuries player made a full recovery physically.

Injured players:
Thilan Samaraweera
Kumar Sangakkara
Tharanga Paranavitana
Ajantha Mendis
Chaminda Vaas
Mahela Jayawardene
Suranga Lakmal

I don't think the 2009 attack is the current problem. Bad administrators and players not getting paid is much bigger problem.
