So not sure if anyone is particularly interested in the upcoming Ashes series (so don't know if it's worth starting a thread for), but here's the Aussie squad for first two tests. A lot of head-scratching going on at the inclusion of wicket-keeper Tim Paine after a 7 year exile from international cricket. Also a recall for 34 year old Shaun Marsh.

Steve Smith (c), David Warner (vc), Cameron Bancroft, Usman Khawaja, Peter Handscomb, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine (wk), Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Jackson Bird, Chadd Sayers.

Cameron Bancroft and Peter Handscomb can keep wicket. Tim Paine first class averages 29, just not good enough.

Slow going. Interesting that they didn't get through 90 overs. I saw the weather was good. Did it close in, or was the Aussie over rate just that bad...

Aus teetering after yet another top order capitulation. Again it falls to Steve Smith to hold things together. Good support from Shaun Marsh too, but one feels that if either of these two get out early tomorrow, the flood gates could open.

Now bairstow has joined stokes in hot water. Now emerged he headbutted Bancroft in a bar in Perth. Ecb kept this under wraps but was revealed during some Aussie sledging today...
