3.39pm Williamson put down Hafeez to deny New Zealand their breakthrough in this fourth innings, and he takes the catch to dismiss the last man. What a turnaround this has been! Not many might've anticipated this result, not after how the match was poised at the end of the fourth day's play. But New Zealand came out and put up a ruthless display. It was evident right from the outset as they pillaged 81 runs in nine overs, and then reduced Pakistan to five down at lunch. Pakistan were hapless, really, and all of New Zealand's bowlers came to the party. Not quite the ideal farewell for Mohammad Hafeez.. he'll carry memories, but unfortunately not many of them from this Test. he barely escaped a pair in his final Test and then has had to watch his team crumble from the dressing room. Jubilation in the New Zealand camp, heartbreak for Pakistan. This defeat will sting them badly for several months ahead. New Zealand have beaten Pakistan in a series away from home for the first time in 49 years.
 
India 64/1, lead by 79. Had a rain delay this morning but the Aussies are going to need more rain than that with 2,5 days left and Lyon getting some decent turn and bounce already.

It's all over...good work from the Aussie lower order to get it that far. That Australian top 6 needs to take a good long look at themselves.

India win by 31 runs.
 
Australia can bring in Matt Renshaw and Joe Burns, they are better than the current openers.

I never enjoy see India win. At least, not until Kohli is out of the mix. Good scrap though, to take it into the 5th day.

Aussies' top order really needs a mental and/or personnel overhaul. They would be far more competitive if they had 2 that could glue the innings into something.
 
India made that harder for themselves than it actually was. I dislike india but i hate aus. So I'm a happy chap :)

Aus just seem to be in a really bad place.
Khuwaja and Marsh are the best players in the top order and they were struggling against what was not indias best bowling attack. And Starc did not really impress.

That said, Adelaide was probably conditions that the Indians would have felt more comfortable in. Perth will be a different story with the extra bounce.

Expect Aus to bounce back as well.

Kohli probably has the most difficult job in cricket as captain, batsman in the most demanding club in the world.
I can sometimes understand his larger than life attitude which borders on arrogance, hence the success.

Tendulkar could never achieve.

Very! Caught the last two and a bit overs. Shai Hope is a wonderful find for the Windies. Hoping he goes on to bigger and better things (except when they play us, obviously :p)
 
Shai really gives this team hope. Needed a huge effort from one to get them over the line. Carrying his bat nogal! :D
 
Nice to see the Wacca back to something like the green monster it used to be. Good pace, good seam...tough batting conditions. Australia have done well so far.
 
Ja, I cursed them :cool:

So it is Perth but from the wide angle shots, it's not the Waca. Must be a new venue.
