CRICKET: SA v India

And y does pollock not open anymore? :( hes accurate and most effective with the new ball. With the old ball hes more of a containing bowler who dries up the runs..cant really take wickets with an old ball especially on this pitch, but with the new ball hes deadly..And yet we decide not to bowl him first up..... :(

hmmm i kinda disagree.. The pitch looks good and if one if these batsmen (tendulkar, gang, lax) get going its curtains for us. We're so lucky this game, the umpires are on our side.. They cheating for us :) Boucher should have been out twice lbw yesterday and now indias best batsmen (Dravid) gets a roughie from benson...that looked a little high to say the least

Just looking at it in normal speed, it looked okay, but with the "eye" it was well over the stumps.
Bad luck Dravid:D

I think Shaun is the last in the mould of accurate SA bowlers. Fanie de Villiers, Craig Matthews, Eric Simons and a few others were of the same mould, and I can't think of any new bowlers that will step up to the plate to fill Polly's shoes in a hurry. These men were all bowling machines, and very rarely bowled loose or wild deliveries. There are not even that many of these in International cricket at present. In the past there was Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Kapil Dev, Javagal Srinath and a few others. Today, Glenn McGrath and Polly are definitely the 2 mainstays. I guess cricket changes and the newer bowlers are all opting for outright pace rather than consistency and accuracy.

Supersport 5 is in widescreen

Sorry if this has been posted, I noticed the cricket is on SS2 and SS5 but SS5 is in widescreen! This is the first time I've noticed this. I'm really chuffed about this. :)

If I recall they've had widescreen on SS5 for a while now :) I remember first seeing it for the ICC Champions Trophy.

And Smith puts down an easy slip catch. So he's not making runs, he's not taking catches...exactly wtf is he doing in the team again? Smith supporters care to comment?

OMG the huge donkey drops what might be the most important catch of the match....Players like tendulkar generally dont let you get away with catches like that. They usually make you pay. If tendulkar makes a hundred i blame smith! Same thing happened with prince, tendulkar dropped him and prince made india pay...

Even if he makes a 50, I'll blame him!

If he gets a good knock he must stay there, cause in every 10 matches he scores above 20 then again he has reason not to leave the national side.:(

hehe... :D

You guys saw the guy with the message in the crowd yesterday that said
"Smith, hope you scored more with Minki"

:D

Luckily Smith will be there to do some fielding, always catches more balls then his score in the innings.

Now as luck would have it, and I wish..Smith will score a bucket of runs and win this game for SA......... ok I had u guys going there right :D
