Yeah, early break through is critical. Proteas need to stretch this run chase out as long as possible and make it as tough as possible. Unlikely to win it but important to be competitive and sow seeds of doubt for the remaining 3 ODI's
 
Not the start we were hoping for.... This run chase is going to be over in under 35 overs...
 
Direct hit needed to effect a run out. Close but no cigar. Need to convert these half chances if we to have any chance...
 
Going to be tough from here. India has laid a good platform.
 
I was hoping for some mental scarring going into the next ODI but it's us that will be wearing those scars...
 
I wonder how much of an effect the toss has on ladies cricket (both games though have been won chasing). In the men's game, wickets speed up or slow down as the day progresses, making it vital to win the toss to get the best of the batting conditions. But in the ladies game, the ball coming onto the bat isn't so pronounced, making the pitch a bit of a non factor. The only real issue then could be dew in day/night games but since this was I think a day game, that then also is ruled out. I'm guessing that this was just a really insipid batting performance from the ladies and nothing more. Hopefully they can brush themselves off.
