Cricket world cup discussion thread

So this is how I see the Quaterfinals.

Pakistan vs West Indies = Pakistan
Sri lanka vs England = Sri Lanka
Australia vs India = India
South Africa vs New Zealand= South Africa


Then this is how i see the Semi Finals

Pakistan vs India= India
South Africa vs Sri Lanka= South Africa

And this is how I see the Finals

South Africa vs India= South Africa
 
Nice win by the Saffers. Bit embarrassing for the Bangladeshis :o Surely by now with so much exposure they should be doing better than this and be a lot more competitive?

Their bowling, while not aggressive, its okay. On slower pitches they can be quite a handful. But their batting has been essentially woeful. If Kayes, Junnaid or Tamim do not fire, the capitulate.

I say again, the Irish have been way more competitive and deserving of exposure to top cricket.
 
Good performance by the boys. Its going to be tricky picking the side for the quarter though. Lopsy really put his hand up but morkel has been good so can't really seen him coming in. With ab coming back does he replace one of botha/peterson or do we drop van wyk and let ab keep and go with three spinners?? Might be a risk with ab's back.
 
156/6 in the 37th over, all over bar the shouting... Looks like we will be facing NZ in the quarters. Sri Lanka vs India if India beat the WI tomorrow, which they should....
 
Hmm,i just had a look at the points table,if WI get hammered by India couldn't bangladesh still qualify.

West Indies 5 3 2 0 0 6 +1.650 1111/212.2 870/242.5
Bangladesh 6 3 3 0 0 6 -1.361 1017/290.2 1276/262.2

Very long shot,but if they get bowled out for 50 or sumthing like bangladesh did.
