Cricket world cup discussion thread

Steyn is on a hat trick for his first ball. Will be huge to it over two matches :)

Those of u asking for smith and kallis to move down the order don't know any cricket.
Just like our useless selectors who can't figure it out, our team needs balance.
Current side has 5 batsmen who are top order (top 3), then 3 batsmen for 4-7.
Just like in 2003, we replaced jonty with smith and messed up the balance (top 5 were opening batsmen).

I know many crickets !!!!!!

I'm just suggesting that they try Smith out at another position... perhaps with less pressure.

What's your solution then? Who goes out for AB and who keeps? Would you risk AB's fitness in making him play as keeper when we do have a specialist, who is clearly not comfortable with the older ball?

This is y I blame the selectors. Kallis should never bat below 4 as he is way 2 slow.
No disrespect to faf and morne but how can bring two new players with no int experience ESP in the subcontinent.

Pushing Kallis down 1, he'll bat at 4, which isn't too bad. Pushing Smith down 1 removes him from his recent susceptibility against new ball bowlers. Morne opening will be a role more familiar to him. The middle order will still be the middle order, so I doubt they would care too much about batting one position down. Everybody wins.

Dale Steyn, that destroyer of line-ups, has the new ball. Can Ireland overcome the initial barrage? Two slips wait
Doesn't that make you smile to yourself.

I reckon that was on purpose. Morkel wants more wickets than Dale.

Biff nearly pissed himself. :D

Did you see steyn stare Morkel down after the first over boundary? He didn't look happy. and now the catch. Steyn must want to Kill Morkel now :D

They came out firing, they probably should have tried to build before chasing after the runs
