It also gives you time to meet someone else that doesn't take all the effort to be with!

Hooked up with a friend of 6 years...was the most nerve wrecking thing I ever had to do. Great thing is that she felt the same way as I did...and we been a couple for two years now.

The fear of loosing a friend can be crippling, but I had to know...and just went for it..

I hope it goes well after the exams...Best wishes..
 
My advice - give her the month, don't pressure her at all. Stay in contact with text messages but be normal - funny, make general conversation. She will appreciate that the most. She will come back to you after her exams are over whatever else happens, believe me it isn't over yet. She said that it's too soon to lose a friend or start a relationship - so IMO she actually considers that she is going to enter into a relationship with you and perhaps quite a serious one. If that is the case, then that is her choice. One cannot be in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to be in one with you.

No way, there is still a lot of time to scrutinise, analyse, advise, jump to conclusions, make ridiculous assumptions, encourage, ridicule etc. :D

she may be not good on her feet and needs another month to make up another excuse :(

Though I sttill think there are enough positive signs for this to end well for requiem
 
I don't want to put a damper on things but 'im going into exams' is the same excuse i gave an ex of mine when i didn't want to be with him anymore and didn't want to hurt his feelings.

I hope for your sake that it all works out.
 
Well exams are very stressful, wait and see what happens after exams, maybe she is just not wanting the distraction.

Although you need to get your pomp on so go bark up another tree for the moment :p
