CRT vs. LCD

Well like I said - 20" and above you can't beat an LCD. up to 19" a good quality CRT wins. That's just my opinion but I've had a lot of monitors pass through my hands.

I guess you're never worked on the big-ass SONY CRT models, 21"+ that kinda thing. Still fantastic stuff. What tires me now about my current CRT (Philips) is the darn thing ain't 16:10 format. :P

Oh well, I like my little museum that's forming. Finally came time to get hold of some of the machines I've used in the past.

Then you used to own a crap CRT.
Never got a headache from them. Perhaps people should figure out that refresh thing.
Still find they have better picture quality than LCD. Used to work on a 21" SONY Trinitron monitor used on some SGIs and those were fantastic.
My doctor however says I should not have moved that 30KG monitor around the office that much 'cos now my back is broken. :(

Still running my Philips 19" CRT. Unfortunately I run it at 1600x1200 and this is kinda the limit with it. Hoping to finally replace the old boy with a new HP LCD sometime, but I'm not getting rid of the CRT.

LOL!
I used to have one of those!
I sold it 2 years ago for R800 because of its enormous size.
I still had to carry the monster from the computer shop to the parking lot 400m away in a crowded mall without a box!
Those were the days......;)

How embarrasing :D
This guy cost R2K many years back. It'll do duty on a archaic machine so is all good. :D

I use a 20" monitor sir. Well that's only because i traded my 22" for a phone and i need a temp stand-in :D

Yeah... My L222ws for a new 5800xm - I considered it worthwhile to be stuck with a smaller screen for a little while. i'll work something out. i'm good at that heh.
