I have and it was paying me about 30 - 40% less than NH, the site is slow as all hell as well.
 
How long does monero normally take to transfer?

Still now showing on mymonero.com wallet, been an hour. Transferring from nanopool.

Ok it took bit of time, but it came. Converted it to eth with shapeshift.io

Is there a way to not pay duties and taxes when ordering from china?

I don't pay anything when ordering from alibaba, why should this be any different?

Is it because of the weight?

Yes with a good bee rating and the right contacts a customs In short not really, you will have to pay VAT.
 
Is it safe to say R6k extra for shipping/etc for a miner (Antminer L3+)

Ah OK, yeah I didn't scroll... yeah I recon it's a bit of a bugger... I get where the okes are coming from, it being a pretty damn expensive bit of tin, but there needs to be some give and take. I would imagine an escrow service could help to prevent buyers from pulling out and protect them the same time, but I think lot of the times it's a matter of "You need to pay me first so I can afford to order it" on the seller's part, which is a bit dodge to say the least.
 
What miners do you guys suggest for xmr on nvidia?

My miners shows 790khash per card, nanopool shows 6h avg as 890khash for 2 cards.

I am using tsiv.
