Cryptocurrency Mining

Keep Bytecoin (BCN) in the visors, 200+ % growth between 15 to 17 May following a more than 100+ % between 5 to 7 May, in turn following a relative stable prior pattern.

Son of a damn bitch. Sold like 6000+ Bytecoin just last week.

I'm really interested in converting my media server / gaming PC (that doesn't get used for gaming anymore) to a mining machine. It's already running 24/7, so might as well get more use out of it. So, AMD cards still rule the roost for mining?

In terms of ROI, for now at least, yes. In terms of raw #power alone, Nvidia takes that cake.

Nvidia cards kick ass. 1080ti is an absolute mining beast

Out of interest, who is running GPU mining rigs and do you find them profitable/stable? I'm looking at putting together a GTX 1070 rig for mining.

Yes it does make a profit. Currently running a few rigs. 6 x rx470 makes just above R6000 per month, cost around 1k of electricity to run. 1070x6 should be in the R7000 to R8000 range.

Great thanks. Now I just need to track down some local nice open frame mining rig frames :). Seems like it makes more sense to just import the GFX cards?

Any specific currencies you need to mine to get that return?

Cryptominer has open frames for sale. I would recommend importing as the big miners has all the stock coming in on back order so the local stock will take time to get. Leetpro use to charge 30k for 6 amd gpu rig , he now charges 40k , and he will still sell them at that price. Demand is very high ATM.

Nich Hash produces those results. Algorithms like DaggerHasimoto and Equihash, mining ETH, converted to BTC.

I only mine new coins which may or may not achieve success down the line, but like Thor said, it must be something new.

I use xfx rs rx 470 cards and Asus dual rx480 cards in the other rigs. Nitro cards can do even more, but cost more and harder to find.

How is the ASUS cards running? The Gigabyte cards run too hot. MSI, XFX and Sapphire cards are nowhere to be seen. I want to expand my operation, and I can get some ASUX Strix 570’s which I will need to mod and undervolt. As we know, the RX 5xx is a bit more power hungry than the RX 4xx.

What motherboards do you find are the most stable for a 6 GPU setup?
