Cryptocurrency Mining

That's very old pic btw. Don't have a new pic with me. I run 1 rig per frame now. Cable tie some cards to it and rest I just lay down on the rack.

I know a guy which also went the DIY plastic solution. He bought plastic crates, cut out old PC chassis to mount the mobo and PSU to and added spacers to mount the GPUs to, all in one box, 6 GPUs. It is also stackable.

Yes and no, many people are mining, yes, but some are buying up as much as possible. The local mining community is small, but large in hash. I know a guy which was an early adopter, he mined gold in 2008/9 and then went big with several investors. He told me, many people that he has introduced to mining does not understand PC components in general, so yah, the miners are a diverse group.

There is a guy with 5 rigs living close to me, all he knows is that he must turn them on and that it is monitored remotely.
 
Anybody around Pta who will invite the missus and me for a Braai and to see their mining rigs? I would love to pick someone's brains about this.
 
New rig, should have 6x rx 580 and 6x 1060's done by month end
