All Asus and xfz cards had hynix, expect for 2 which had elipda. All them running 1500 straps clocked to 1900 memory, I am sure they can do more if I tried.

If you go digging on the forums you'll quickly find that just because a board has 6 slots, doesn't mean you can run 6 cards. You'll have to do some research. Some boards need a BIOS update along with settings in the BIOS. Some boards you need to toggle "4G Decoding" others "change PCIE to gen1" and change "max TOLUD to 2.5GB".

Thanks, I got the exact same mobo as him, so should be sorted there as far as it should work, just need the how. I do recall having read something about all those things you mentioned for my mobo, I'll have to dig for it

So I want to start Crypto mining.

Do I just follow a guide like https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-ethereum/ or is there a better way to do it?

I have two systems i7 6700, 16gb ram, rx480 and an older i5 4460, 8gb ram, 7850. I believe the rx 480 is pretty beastly at mining but is it even worthwhile to mine on the 2nd system?

How do you transfer ether to Rands?
Are there any Tax implications I need to worry about?
Can you game and mine at the same time or do you stop and start the mining programs?

I wouldn't know about the 7850, but you wont be able to game while mining, get a new AMD card and mine with the RX480, and when not gaming mine with the new AMD card as well.
 
CPU fx 8300 + GPU gtx 1050 2MB mining enabled, CPU/motherboard not currently overclocked, 1050 overclocked. CPU enabled about 19:30 last night [7 of 8 cores], before that just 1050 mining.

Was playing around with the mem OC on my 1060, nicehash was running fine but clicking on msi afterburner window or gpu-z was really sluggish, turns out I had the vram at 9.6GHz :D

I could not reset the clocks so opted to kill msi and restart, pc crashed at restart.

I manage to corrupt one my windows installs playing with the OC lol

Even if I oc 1mhz now it crashes on any card, through I just flashed bios with clocks I want and it works 100%. Rig has been stable for more than a week now.

Need to spend some time on that one and redo the windows.
 
Seems I am using 90 electricity units a day running the 18 amd rx cards. Seems a bit high to me. Will get me a watt a meter.
