Cryptocurrency Mining

@Gtx Gaming do you think a Corsair ax860i will power 6 x RX470s that are undervolted?

I currently use an Antec 1300w running the RXs. I've ordered 6x GTX 1070s and was thinking of using the Antec on this and the Corsair on the RXs. My initial plan was to run 4x 1070s on the Corsair.
It should yes. That psu can deliver more power than it's rated wattage.

You guys can also take a look at add2psu modules or you can just do the paper clip jump trick (at own risk). I was looking at going 2 x 650W GOLD and balancing the load, but Gtx Gaming man came through for me (but not quite how he planned - whoops/sorry).

I've been using the paperclip method to run my LTC miners, it's always in the back of my mind, what if..... This will come in handy, thanks.

Cheap and plentiful on AliExpress, if you are willing to wait...

For those with the powered risers, is there any specific one to look out for? Which is the best quality?

Sir Morkhans, did not know you have rigs¡

Nice!

It is not only IT people getting involved. There are BTC (and alt) groups, and even associations here in SA. I avoid these groups, I have my own opinion and philosophy. I know some early GPU rig adopters, many whom will tell you to avoid mining. There is a guy living close to me with DIY rigs, prior to this he knew very little about computers, and he has been mining since 2013.

These money-making groups, the meet ups, are all about cryptocurrencies nowadays. At least they are putting ponzi schemes aside though there are many BTC/ALT-ponzi’s starting up. This is how this guy started up, through these schemes...

What saddens me is how many people wants to be the local authority on cryptocurrencies.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.
