Cryptocurrency Mining

Ok, GTX1080 ordered and paid for. Now to wait for it to be delivered - ETA 23 June. If I only manage to pay it off over the next couple of months it will already be worth it. :)

With my components arriving tomorrow, I am just wondering if it is best to install and run the latest drivers for 1070's or is there an older driver version that is better to use?

I get better results with old driver , but could just be glitch. Most say newest is the best.

I've got the latest driver, and it crashes quite often. That being said, previous driver crashed too. It recovers with no effect on any mining happening at the time, but yeah, it is pretty annoying. Thinking of rolling back like 5 versions or something to see if that helps. This is with 2 x 1050ti cards.

Define crash.

What does event viewer say.

Likely per month, but yeah, keen to know myself.

OK, nope. You buy $30 worth and it mines for 24 months of that. What is nice, they do not charge power or pool fees.

So, I am looking at 100MH on Ethereum. The cost is $2800 once off.

So, in 2,5 months you will have ROI if I understand it correctly.

EDIT: Any investors?

Looks like overclocking failure.
Thought it might be, but I've tried both defaulting everything, as well as "underclocking" it, no dice. Currently running with nothing boosted.

Seems to be whenever I close any of the miners, it is 100% sure to happen, but I've noticed random occurrences too.

When difficulty booms those numbers changes and suddenly 100Mhs ain't worth much anymore, so just be careful there.

Using Gigabyte Z77-U3D. Updated to the latest firmware when I got the cards, because it was a million versions behind.

Risky. Oh but I assume you are not running a gallizion cards right?

Because then it's OC, card crashes and then windows resets/recovers the driver to default state.
