Cryptocurrency Mining

I have also been reading about this and the dag file size. 4gb cards and less cannot keep up.

People are finally getting their cards and more and more micro farms are popping up. If you check the websites that have the hashing power listed, you'd see that library, lara, lyra and other former profitable alt coins have had their hashing power increased almost 5 fold or more.

That's besides the fact of Nicehash being the most expensive way to mine already.

From the interwebz

GPU mining gold rush was caused by the sudden dramatic rise of altcoins such as ETH and ZCash, which caught miners off guard. GPUs suitable for mining quickly sold out everywhere, starting with AMD RX series and now NVidia 10 series so no surprise difficulty has moved up a lot, and continues to move up. As long as it's profitable to mine people will continue adding GPUs to mining rigs until the returns are competed away.

For the GPU mining boom to continue, ETH would need to start going crazy again or a new hot GPU minable alt coin would have to hit the block. Otherwise it's going to get worse as OEMs are set to release mining focused GPUs which will ramp up difficulty even more in coming months.

Trying to calculate the import tax I would pay on the antminer. Can anybody advise?

Lets assume L3+ + PSU ($2000) + Shipping ($150) + VAT( $2000*1.1* .14 = $308) = $2508

What would import taxes be like?

Anyone currently have a rig like this running (Thor187?) Anyone order from Bitmain before?

Whats the alternative to Nicehash though if you want follow similar simple mining approach using GPU's?

Agree, by the the next batch of GPUs are out there, single rig mining will be a waste of time at the current rate.
