Cryptocurrency Mining

WTF, tried my first payout. Went from 33$ (myetherwallet) to $31 (Jaxx) to $22 (Shapeshift to BTC) and now it's not even in Luno yet. Probably gonna have $15 left when I'm done.

BS

Got only one rejection on Vox tonight. What latency do you normally get on MWEB ?

Literally everything is fine, it is just the mining in the evening. Mweb said i need a unshaped account to mine in the evening.

Have not tried myself yet, but you can transfer your eth to an ice3x eth. wallet and I think you can then withdraw in rand. You can also trade your eth for btc and transfer to to luno who can then pay out in rand.

Don't know their fees, but at least you can bypass shapeshift.

EDIT: I see the trading pairs are BTC/ZAR, LTC/ZAR and ETH/ZAR, so you can sell ETH on the exchange for ZAR and buy BTC on the exchange in ZAR.

Don't know if this is a good price or suitable GPU but there's 18 left:

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050Ti G1 Gaming 4GB Graphics Card

https://www.takealot.com/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1050ti-g1-gaming-4gb-graphics-card/PLID43037512

I saw that exact same card at Computer Mania for R3,099, so I suppose it is comparable.

Edit: FYI, I run two of those cards. they get the job done, but if you can spend a little more, and you can get your hands on it, rather look for a 1060 or higher.

Bubble has burst already? Sorry folks, but I was just trying to catch up on this thread, and am I totally confused as to how people think they will make money from this?

Made the same mistake once. Shapeshift charges a flat rate of 0.003 BTC if I'm not mistaken to shift to BTC. Rather send ETH to an ETH wallet on an exchange like Bittrex and convert to BTC and then send the BTC to Luno.

You can try altcointrader.co.za then open a ETH address and transfer directly, no need to jump through hoops, shapeshift has pretty high fees.

So I installed nicehash miner 2.0 yesterday, and let it do the benchmarks, and then let it run without changing any settings, and it looks like my profits are up :D the previous version was only mining Equihash or Dagger, this one I let it do it's own thing and its's paying off.

So no issues anymore? Was issues when it first appeared.

My profits went down from R90 a day to R10 a day atm... Wonder if we are going to see some cheap Screencards for sale now.The power use on my rig now make it not profitable to mine.

Is this just me ? or are we all seeing this ?

That seems a bit of a hectic drop.

Will experiment with the two of these.

my cards mined pascal automatically with Nice#, the price jumped to R4/day on my 290. But after about 5 minutes dropped to R0.63/day. I assume there was some sort of glitch or spike, redid it and it mined eth automatically.

Not an expert tho idk.

I decided to mine PASC directly for a bit, looking for some easy coin to convert, and this seemed to fit the bill nicely.

In fact, any recommendation on any other coin that's generally traded, relatively easy to mine? Doesn't have to be worth a $load, just need to be able to swing it to something else later.
