My Nicehash profitability spreadsheet:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101926939/Nicehash Profitability 1.3.xlsm
It's a work in progress but I don't have time today to potter any more with it so I'm posting the beta.
What it does / how to in short is allow you to compare various hardware profitability visually using Nicehash's extensive data of historic and current rates:
You have to enable macros in the workbook for it to do it's thing. Don't trust it? No problem - Alt-F11 to see the code. No comments / snyde remarks on the code readability lol, this was slapped together in a day and a bit and is a work in progress.
1) On the 'Start' sheet, enter your variables (yellow fields) and click 'Import data' to
grab the latest info from Nicehash
For the BTC price, the system will grab the latest prices from Yahoo finance and Nicehash but you can enter your own custom BTC/USD price - chose the one you want to use in the output using the radio buttons.
- For the BTC sell price in ZAR, enter the amount you would get per BTC if you were to convert to FIAT using your preferred exchange (e.g. Luno) - this is used for the ZAR profitability calcs.
2) On the Analytics tab, click the graph and select the stuff you want to show, feel free to do as you please, but please don't ask me how to use Excel and pivots - there's plenty youtube out there
- Hide / show hardware you have no interest in by selecting from the drop-down at the bottom left of the chart.
3) Feel free to create your own analytics / graphs / visualisations from the Data-Short tab
4) The full raw data is in the Data tab and includes over 4000 snapshots of profitability over 10 minute intervals for each piece of hardware over the past month - hence the time taken to import the latest data from Nicehash. It's all there and can be mined if you have the inclination and time.
I want to add some trend analysis next (e.g. profitability over the past 30 days). I'll do all of that later, but if you do happen to add some cool stuff to it,
please share.
