Cryptocurrency Mining

Hi guys can you guys please share at what temperatures your gpu's run at when mining. want to compare
GPU : 47 -51 C
1070s on my side run between 55-65
1080tis 52-62

I'm busy building wooden boxes with doors that hold 300mm car aux fans to push air in and then expelling heat through the top through pipes and a vent in the window. My rigs stand in my back/washing room and it gets hot in there in the afternoons. Airflow is key.

What is everyone's thoughts on skipping all the hard work of trying to source hardware (and the costs involved) and setting it all up, and just paying someone else to do it for you, ala hashflare?

I've just started hashflare and what hashflare / genesis has going for it is the ability to reinvest earnings automatically which compounds your investment. Hardware is expensive and with hashflare you can begin earning from day one and not have warranty issues. Risk is lower. If you're technically inclined and don't mind being out of pocket when it hits the fan and equipment breaks, and you don't mind the noise, have the space, etc. etc. then owning and operating equipment can be rewarding.

Hashflare doesn't have good reviews. I believe anything where they tie you into a years contract is just a scam. Do they even have hardware they mine with?

On the max rate I pay R2.04 a unit. The is on prepaid electricity after 600 units bought . BUT I am not sure if it costs the same in all municipalities

I am in CPT and also pay approximately R2 per kWh (unit), so it seems to be more or less consistent (for prepaid)

just got an email from loot, saying they can't honor my purchase as the supplier is out of stock :-(

can someone please recommend a 1070 for me ?

Hi guys , can you please shed some light on how much power (watt) a rx580 8gb uses. Ive read they are very power hungry can anyone confirm ?

Updated hashflare mining calcs. Forgot to remove reinvested cash from the earnings. Earnings now look more reasonable - should be fairly doable to get 100% per annum.

NM, excel trashed my code when I accidentally saved as XLSX

thats rough. A friend and I are starting up a 100 card operation in his garage and at the max rate JHB only charges R1.45 per kwh (post-paid).

Yep it's expensive to get electricity down here, most electric get's generated up north.

Think Koeberg only handle half of the load needed for CPT.

I stay in secunda. And including tax it is R2.04 a unit on highest rate. Might have something to do with municipality owing eskom money though

Any of you guys used relic tech before NOT to be confused with rebel tech . They have some really good prices . Just want to check if they are legit ?
