Cryptocurrency Mining

Yep if they pick up your good to go.

gtx 1060 6gb cards right?

75% power(100% being stock), 100+ core, 700+ memory.

Yes can just run them on nicehash.

guys, please explain to me what does lowering the power actually do?

Yeah 6x EVGA SC GTX 1060.

Is this correct:

I can’t get core to 100 or memory to 700 tho?

Do I do anything with fan speed?

Should be able fine tune with arrows on keyboard.

Fan speed set to 65%.

Arrow keys to fine tune worked

So fan shouldn’t be set to auto then but rather 65%?

Is everything now correct:

Anything else I need to change?

Busy running nicehash benchmark. Then just to add wallet address and then should be good to go unless there something else I need to change / add?

Change the setting in your BIOS to start up your PC if the power trips, install Teamviewer or your alternative remote control app of choice to manage it remotely and change the settings in NiceHash to start up with Windows and Autostart mining when the program is opened

Will look for the bios setting after nicehash finishes.

Already installed teamviewer and added to my account (leave for UK tomorrow so need access to the miner). Will double check nicehash settings but think I may have already set those.

anyone know where I can get a 10/12 card frame for a rig? Preferably a shop that has credit card facilities or is located in JHB/PTA

So just got home now after letting NiceHash do the benchmarking only to see an error: “Benchmark interrupted EVGA 1060 3GB decred” - any idea what would caused this?

Going to run benchmark again now.

Do yourslef a favour. Go to niceshashes calculator and check what the 1060 is mining. Chose one card, chose the algos and benchmark one card. Then manually edit the hash values in all other cards fields.

If you're using the official version, ignore the above. This will only work with the legacy version

Untick it, eth/decred not really worth it anyway.

Ahhhh so decred was a type of “coin” then and not an issue with my setup?

Running benchmark now still. Will un-check when done.

On a side note, what wallet should I use and worker? On old nicehash (before the crash) I had it running on my current pc during evening and can’t for the life of me remember what I used.

Create nicehash account and use there internal wallet address. They just reduced withdrawal fees!

Then you need it weekly to luno account.

Yes!!! That’s how I had it before - would deposit into my luno account.

Ok great so don’t need to worry about worker then - do I get a “worker” through nicehash account?

Worker you make up the name you want.

Wow it’s actually all coming back to me now thanks!

As soon as the benchmarks are done will see if I can remember my old wallet login details if not will just create a new one on nicehash and see if it works.

Ok all benchmarks are completed and machine started mining.

It’s currently doing “neoscrypt” and each card is doing roughly 3.7MH/s. Is that good or on par and is neoscrypt the correct one to go for or should I just let it do it’s thing and not change anything?

Edit: just unchecked all “11” algorithms and only selected “equihash” so will see how that goes. Is that the best way to do it or should I leave nicehash to decide?

Maybe only selecting “equihash” was a bad idea. This is happening now every few seconds:

It gives the error then restarts itself and then a few seconds later after accepting a share does it again.

Any idea why? Should I just re-select all algorithms?
