Cryptocurrency Mining

So I downloaded Simple Mining OS and flashed it to flash drive but when I insert into mining machine and boot it won't boot into the OS - it goes straight to BIOS.

In BIOS under USB Config, it shows the drive but there no way to select boot from USB. Anything else I can try?

Might have to enable legacy boot in the boot options.

Legacy support is enabled but still boots to BIOS.

Eben when I press F9 to select boot option it goes to BIOS.

Have created the OS flash twice but still no luck. Not sure what else to try?

Might want to look something called csm boot option or something.

Also changed boot options to your usb drive first.

It is basically going to bios as there no boot devices found.

There is no option to choose boot drive tho :(

Will try the CSM option and see if that helps.

Under USB Config, the flash drive is seen but just won't boot but lets see if these changes help.
 
OK so I got it working now.

Currently running at:

Core - 100
Memory - 700
Power Limit - 70
Target Temp - 75
Min Fan Speed - 55

Doing 109.55 MH/s

Does that seem correct and good MH/s?
 
Mind if i ask you why you went with SMOS over something like HiveOS
SMOS has a fee, its not much but its still there. HiveOS is free for 3 rigs. Tbh i prefer the interface and other toys it has alot more

Honestly no reason, just was told about it and liked the simple UI etc. Will have a look at HiveOS.

Does HiveOS let edit xmr stak? Need switch one my rigs from windows.

Ok it does allow you to edit it in control panel :)

Hey hey hey. I need some advice. If I were to build a rig with 6x AMD RX570, which coin would yield higher profit? Let’s just say that hypothetically I did not pay for electricity to keep that out of the calculation. Thoughts?
 
Started using HiveOS on my rx580 rig.

Seems to work pretty well.

Just fan speed won't set via Sgminer, but will figure it out.

Running from 8gb flash drive!
 
What's the deal with mining ETN on your mobile? Specifically data vs reward?
