Crysis, it runs!

Difference between DX9 Very High and DX10 Very High... about 1% :)
With a small patch you can enable V. High on XP and W-O-W! IMO there is v e r y little deifference between the 2 only thing I can see is a tiny bit more detail in Dx10 and "haze" efect.

My pc is abit on the sad side cpu wise.

Amd 4600x2
8800GTX
2 Gig DDR400
Vista

I can play it on my 22" Lcd @ 1680x1050 All settings high except shadows at 32-40fps max.

If I turn on any AA settings my system gets reduced to a crawl:)

cool .... i got the same spec except for the cpu ... n i intend playing it at 1280x1024 ... so i mit be abe to max it at my res ...

well Crytek said Crysis will run on 3 year old gfx cards, so good to see they werent lying... for a change!

lol, my card is not 2 years old and everything is on low settings, it is a 7800GTX 512 XXX btw. I don't know how a 3 your old top of the range card will make it. I suspect we talking about a 6800 Ultra. Being able to run a game and then to actually have some eye candy with it is two different things. At least people can play the game without all the looks, which i suppose is a bonus

IMO Dx10 was a market gimmick for Micro and GPU comapnies

It does have some advantages, not as big as previous revisions though, and any advantages are more then offset by being forced to use Vista.

Well I have seen X1950GT 512Mb play at high/med @ 1024x768 :) and a 8600GT at med with post pro at High.

I suppose a 8800GT/GTS/GTX will be able to max it out on DX9 and... perhaps try? on Dx10, I suppose it's got to do with the resolution and if you play with AA?
