Crysis Rapes my machine

Runs fine on my 2.2 core 2 duo, 2gb ram and ATI 2600 (256mb) hp laptop with vista. No lag or anything that I have noticed.

Only problem I have is the mouse not lining up with buttons in the options menu. So I have to move the mouse pointer to the left of each button to get it work.

odd... maybe change ur resolution ?

a laggy options screen normally indicated laggy gameplay ... i was surprised to find not a single bit of it on my otherwise slow pc :D

*NOTE: at point of installation, my xp box has already been up for 2 weeks, and a few hours. It survived COD4 install and clock, bf2online, burning disks and pulling torrents. All legal torrents ofcourse - so the pc wasnt even at its peak to begin with *

Tried Crysis again, a window came up:

"Your computer is a joke, try again when your not such a loser."

I called Technical Support, they said the same thing just with more swear words.

you see this is why I opt for a xbox...just pop in Halo 3, no problems....hehe...ok ok I know it's not the same, but it sounds like some of you guys have really expensive setups and it still won't run...it would be interesting to find out who has the best setup for the least amount of money :) ...

Lol definitely not me. Athlon 2800+, 512mb 333mhz ram, 128mb FX5200: in two words I'm screwed. Still there's always next week. (Btw R5,600 for this computer four years ago).

It prawns my laptop :( 2.2Ghz C2D, 2Gb Ram, 8600GS, 1 Gb turbo cache. Game is too bad even on low, I was sad!

lol i dont think its possible yet to run this game with everything on max, altho that obviously depends on what res u use. AA is a framerate killer.

good news is that there'll be a patch coming out within the next 2 weeks which should give everyone a nice performance boost :D

I blady hope so man. I wanna play this game.

ok...so what the hell do you need to run this thing full tilt then??

im running everything max (very high) and its fine ... serious ... 27fps average ... but it seems more like 40 ... very smooth gameplay ... 8800gtx with 4800+ CPU ... and 2 "gicks" of ram

I run it at 1280*1024..Everything on high except shader quality and 2 other options which are set to medium( Cant remember them off hand)...

Im on vista but run it under DirectX9..

Btw it would be a good idea to state your res and settings... I mean for for some ppl 800*600 and everything on low could be awesome..It runs so well etc...But for the next man..WTF! it looks like ****

IF you don't touch AA or resos over 1280-1400 w/e. Just don't touch AA and you will be running smooth.

I'm running it at 1280x1024, everything on High except shadow quality, AA set to 4x.

Was running fine till I got to the excavation site. Everytime the tremours hit my frames drop.

Turn AA off it Kill's FPS in Crysis

BTW ran it on a 6600 w/ a Sempron 2600+ :D all low @ 800x600 how's that for scaling! :D

1027*768 all high except shadows and post processing on medium. High 20s to mid 30s on the beach and 30s to 40s in the jungle.

E6400
2GB ram
8800GTS 320mb

Definitely feeling the lack of Vram with the odd stutter. :o

lol nothing 8800Ultra SLI Setup can't fix!
but with the HD3850 in crossfire it will give a 8800GTX it's run for its money too bad current drivers have Crossfire support problems :(
