Crystal Web DSL performance feedback thread Part 4...

On the notices page under past incidents. I also got an email.
 
Yup. Mail was dropped at 00:00 in my inbox.

I'll do a power cycle when I get home - just for whatever reason - and then test the performance tonight vs my other accounts.
 
Can anyone post the mail? I did not receive anything and my latencies on CW has been so crap for the past few months that I had to use another ISP to game with.

Nothing profound in it.

New Maintenance Status: Completed
The scheduled maintenance has been completed.

The fault was an internal one on their core network affecting OpenServe accounts. ADSL/VDSL/FIBRE. Vuma customers were not effected.

So I am hoping their maintenance upgrade fixed this...

Will test over the weekend.
 
What is the difference between CW own speedtest which requires a password and Ookla speedtest?

i have 10mbps but only getting 7.... fml

Sucks for you. I don't pay for a Ferrari and feel satisfied when I'm speed limited to 50KM/hour.
 
Do some of these links limit the upload rate?? Get different uploads on different links :eek:

you basically paid for a ferrari and is getting a merc amg, but i know what you saying

still, i thought you were like limited to 2mbps the way you were going on

During 6pm-12am it gets as bad as 10-15Mbs with 300+ ping to EU.
 
Status: investigating

Crystal Web has identified a technical fault in our network core resulting in higher latency and decreased speeds intermittently, but predominantly being experienced between 18:00 and 22:00. We will be replacing and upgrading hardware over the next 2 weeks with no expected downtime for clients during this process, which will resolve this problem.
