Hi, I am Steven
It's kind of obvious who Shaun is, as we get emails from him with his personal name, and anyone following the thread would know that him and Paul run the show

Not recommended, the tx on the access point might not be good enough, I would recommend 2 of the nanos.Your reply got me thinking that I'm on the wrong track, and I've just realised how confusing my question will be to those that actually know what the heck they are talking about (meaning you and Patrick). I thought I needed two of these - one at each end (effectively a very expensive long distance ethernet "cable") - with a WAP at the receiving end to create the access point for the local devices to connect. Actually, all I need is one of these, as it is the access point. Found this page by someone that had installed a similar setup.
So, I'll just need the Ubiquiti NanoStation and the (supplied) PoE injector (and some mounting hardware), and we'll be sorted.
Thanks for setting me straight. Now to go boost my shares with the MIL.![]()

Yeah, that's it. The problem with most consumer AP's is that they cannot transmit very far.....but might be able to receive that distance without a problem.Okay. So, to make sure I'm understanding correctly: Two nano's in bridge mode with a WAP connected via ethernet cable at the "receiving" end?
I'll get there eventually.![]()
