Please tell the techs to look at Steam downloads vs Youtube shaping. Right now running both at the same time will push youtube to 240p whilst the steam download runs flat out.

I'd prefer if youtube runs at max available with steam downloads sucking up whatever capacity is left.

Not sure how feasible that is on a that kind of micro management scale though - ignore if not.

Requires changing the priority pools for every customer. We'll look into it as we integrate our new products though, for sure. Appreciate the feedback.

Tried to post this earlier, but will give it another shot (was at work, busy!)

When can we start paying by credit card? I was promised debit order was a once off, which became a second payment with promises that it would be the last. With the 19th closing in fast, I really would like the credit card payment option to become a reality!

My flatmate (whom the credit card belongs to) was also wanting to know about word of mouthing to all his buddies - he is very happy with the way things are now (unshaped, who wouldn't be?!?!) but he is reluctant as you guys are not launched yet (and therefore no credit card facilities). His friends are the "silver surfer" types, who would typically fit the relatively low use but service orientated profile.

Second question: What should the max connections for torrents be? Too many would most likely slow down speeds wouldn't it? And the longer we are downloading, the longer we are uploading!

So CW here is my feedback after using your live chat a few times.

Firstly, if your agents are always going to ask for the exact same two security questions, then you might as well add them to the initial live chat box where you fill in your e-mail address and question.

Then since you guys have my full name on file, when you put my name in the replys either use my surname or first name. Don't go abbreviating it like we are best buddies. It's rather unprofessional.

Finally, when i open a live chat i do the general greeting - "Good evening" etc - and i add my question so that we can get straight to the point. But some of your support staff insist on saying "Hi" or something to that nature and then wait until i reply, and that goes on for a while. I was just on support and the agent was asking how i was and such when all i wanted was to get an answer to my question.

I'm all for niceties. But there is a time and place for that. When I've laid out everything i want in my first response, i hope to get an immediate reply.

And I'm not sure if the agent i just had was very slow at typing or was just drunk. But it took them about 3 minutes to type 20 words to me. Just a bit annoying watching those dots go by for so long only to get such a short generic reply.

On a side note, making the box bigger or making it pop out in a new window would go a long way to improving the experience.

Please don't see this as me bashing your support guys. These are just a few suggestions.

(Also Paul, has there been any news on the slow international i am having? - Support agent couldn't answer me)

Gaming>Streaming>everything else....there should be any reason not to change that priority no one likes lag or buffering......

200 per torrent 450 max gets pretty good speeds. Just set max incoming connections/upload slots to 0 then limit upload speed to 1 that's what i do(if you bittorrent app doesnt let you do that get a new one).

Better yet add a radio control for ()Friendly. ()GTFO be faster. ()Not Computer literate.
This support nearly breaks labour laws cut them some slack you may see those dots for 3min but it's a hell of alot better than being internet less and waiting 18hours from a "This is an automated response. Support will review your case soon." email...

Thanks, will give it a bash. I was running half line speed on 200 connections, dropped it to 100 and line speed doubled instantly. It's just 300mb anyways, didn't want to wait for the NNTP release.

CW - please remove me from the usage emails that I get for my two previous accounts. I have literally now asked 4 different people to stop it, but I still get it. I am asking here, because on Live chat, i get no joy.

They don't always ask the same two security questions, and the chat is used for sales queries as well, so we can't add it to the pre-form submission just yet. We will take this suggestion on board for future consideration though.

Agreed. I looked at the transcript and it happened yesterday. Apologies, I have sent an email to all agents to address this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Agreed. Same applies - I've addressed it in the mail I sent them.

Occasionally agents will handle multiple chats concurrently, and occasionally they will start replying and then decide to perform some further diagnostics, or checks, or even clarify something from other agents or superiors. I have read your transcript and I am happy with the response times from the agent in question.

Customers previously complained when we made it a popout - we also made it larger and other customers complained. We are looking at some further work on the CSS for it though, but it's not a priority for now.

Not at all, I appreciate the feedback, although it would be best to send this privately in future, otherwise every suggestion or bit of feedback risks becoming a lengthy debate. :)

I find it differs per torrent.....i don't p2p too much though just for seriously obscure stuff that you couldn't stream or get on dvd if you tried :P

Sorry Fjorko, there's a bug in the system that we're working on sorting out. I apologise about these updates - we're working on resolving this hassle but for now you may still receive a few updates until a few systems on our backend are tested and are implemented.

That's not on our end though - welcome to the wacky world of crap torrents.

i didn't say anything yet but...yeh im getting th same starting to get on my nerves :wtf:

Very slow:

Is there an issue somewhere?

Browsing is difficult - Pictures take ages to load, and Youtune vids are almost impossible to watch.

Yeah - it's OK, it doesn't bother me really - I just don't need it anymore, so I just need it to stop, so, if it's a bug, fair enough - I'll delete it in the meantime.

No something isn't right here - I see you're talking to support at the moment though. I'll ask them to transfer it to me quick.

And about the credit card payments? Will it be in place for the next payment?

And yeah, I try to stay the hell away from torrents! Only if I am needing that quick fix will I shuffle down to proverbial street corner and dirty my hands :P

VPN/Tunnel-UK

Guys are nailing the capacity now - "Netflix time". First thing to take strain are non-priority and VPN is one. Apologies about this - but I've also sent it off to the team for investigation and we have a meeting on Monday to discuss a better way forward for this sort of thing in future.
