Yussie, you Wenties boys can't claim to be from the Bluff ek se, you okes are all screwed up from the Refinery.... :p

I emigrated to the Bluff to further my edumecation, GEEZ #ROLLSEYES

Sinbad, its no wonder she's your ex.. Pinetown chicks are fekking nuts.

QFT

LMAO

@TB - how would you rate your experience so far with CW?
I just signed up from the 1st Sep and I'm keen to find out how the streaming goes.
I'm on 4MB BTW

I'm on 4mbps as well, and the bit of streaming I've done has been rock solid....

Depending on finances etc in the next few months I'm probably going to upgrade to 10mbps (once my RB is installed and configured of course)...

my https download speed don't exceed 50kbps today. so I'm being shaped according to CW. look more like throttling to me - 384kb line speed on a 4mb line.

worse than OW for that matter.

You were moved to the shaped account and it will shape if torrent and nntp traffic is detected during the day. You can expect a good news email though in the next 48 hours to address this. You're not being throttled though, that's for sure. We don't even have a throttling mechanism in place.

Your router also didn't close your last session properly. You need to give your router a proper power cycle as it's currently very confused. :D

Can't wait :D

Will the good news only be for uncapped accounts or for capped accounts too? Because when I read about the shaping policy you plan on using, I migrated from uncapped to a capped account, since my usage is fairly low anyway. I hope this doesn't turn out to have been a *** idea >.<

Thats exactly what I wanted to hear :D If only my exchange could give me 10meg :'(

How bad is the education in Wenties if you went to the Bluff to further it?.. :wtf:

I honestly cant answer that question having schooled at "white" schools since std 4 I have no recollection of school before then (I blame the cold beers for the depreciation of my child hood memories)

Lets hope cause I havent seen decent speeds in 2weeks....and yes, I ran lots of tets with your support department only to be told its my wireless giving issues....***....I ran my capped WA account and getting top speeds. So its not my router or my wireless setup and telling me to power cycle my router everytime is getting old....

I hope this 48hour email is worth the wait.

@CW/Shaun/Paul

What username would you like on my EFT? The original? Can't I just use a reference like "SirJustin"?

Also - does the 48 hour mail include a super awesome 4mb acc I want to upgrade to? I.e. must i hold up on my EFT?

I've just enabled my QoS on my router. Haven't used it in a while and I'm not even sure that it is a proper setup, as I don't know much about it, but it seemed to work in the past.

I thought I had an option to disable P2P and thought I would link it to a scheduler, but I don't have an option to block it.

I'm using a TP Link W8970 router.
Is it possible to install a different OS on it that will give me the ability to apply a QoS and block P2P during selected hours?

I don't have money to go the Mikrotik route.

Still in negotiation with Crystal web but so far I am truly impressed with the effort they are putting into this :)

Thank you Shaun, you give me hope and soon you will give me decent access :)

+1 I spoke to Shaun today too and I gotta say he threw me an offer I couldn't resist.
Its refreshing to have an ISP more concerned that you get the best experience by being put on the correct package that suits your needs more than just wanting your money.

Shot Shaun :D

My DD-WRT setup allows me to block ports during the day. Maybe see if your router supports DD-WRT?

Please for the love of god, no. :D

Any difference from an upgrade can be paid separately.

You can use your customer name as a reference for now as the reconciliation is still manual.
