brought about by Apple and the iPad I won from MyBB which has since been appropriated. I was chatting to her on Facebook and she went offline a few minutes later my sister says on gchat that she got an SMS to say the Internet isn't working.
So it is the middle of the day and I phone home to get the connection working again. Ask her to reboot the router and run through the steps - um the lights aren't coming on, okay check if its the multiplug ... ah yes the cordless phone also didn't ring, let me check the lights.

My mom didn't realize there was a power failure but for the Internet not working.

If it proves a horrendous mess for us, we reserve the right to discontinue the product. But the price won't change. It doesn't look likely on the former, but I'm prepared to release it to early bird customers for now and see how it goes.

For the sake of transparency, are you able to divulge what would constitute abuse on the unshaped, uncapped R999 10mb accounts?

Based on your capped offerings cost per gb, for R1000, you could get close to 500gb's capped and presumably unshaped bandwidth...?

Thanks for the email CW. I have made the payment. At about 400GB per month, I assume that half my month will be shaped. Worst case scenario I move across to the 10MB unshaped, uncapped if there's a performance hit (which I doubt).

There's no abuse limit but that's what we're going to watch like hawks on our end, and I extended one helluva special to you for various reasons. ;)

Go The Sharks!

And we'll let you upgrade mid-month as well. Downgrades however happen at the start of every new month, no exceptions, and no debate about it. It's a business rule that is necessary otherwise our billing system goes to hell and back as the provisioning on downgrades is different to an upgrade.

Turning off a router is not rocket science.

No no, he is not incompetent. A router power button doesn't stump him.
But at the point of logging in to router, and heaven forbid, changing anything? Let's just say this is why I handle all that stuff.

Our apologies about this then. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Soooo...

Can i do 700gb p.m. on the 4mb unshaped uncapped account? :p

I'm torn... went through my router history last night - seems i fluctuate between 350gb up to 650gb p.m. (no idea how i did that on OW t.b.h.) - but this is dependent on decent content being available.

Maybe i must try fusion for a bit - and then if this isn't working for me, switch to unshaped...

We can do a custom product for you as well. Say for example on Fusion, you want more unshaped goodness for the month, we'll do so at the cheapest per gig rates in the market. Our gift for our very heavy customers moving to appropriate products.

Hop on live chat and ask for me and we can talk.

no stress just yet - i was just thinking that the eventuality on fusion (at some time of the month) would be that for one day I'd have none of my latest series to watch, because i'd have run out of unshaped and then be in the blocked time window.

first world problems...

nonetheless - I'll digest this a little and then decide...

although... I just had another idea... would require me routing traffic based on time on DD-WRT, can support help with that?

Best to ask the forum as I've instructed guys not to support DD-WRT as it can result in bricked routers when flashing firmware, so as a rule the guys don't support customising it.

But the forum will be quick with the answers here. ;)
