I need to figure out this slave port/bridge thing

Take ethernet 1 and rename it to ADSL, leave everything else on default. Under ppp make a new pppoe client connection. Interfaces on the new pppoe client window hould be ADSL. The rest you could do easily. :)

Well I'm now posting off my phone connected to the Mikrotik wifi ;-)

For some reason the gig ports don't like my pc. Link is up but I can't ping the router

Have you setup your IP's and dhcp server yet?

Not using eth1 for adsl. It's a gig port. Using eth10 (100mb)

Well if your wifi gets internet via the RB all looks fine. just go under IP > Adresses, add, 192.168.1.254/24, Network 192.168.1.0, Interface what ever you have got it configured on. (Port 10 etc...) and your RB should have a IP. Just replace my ip's with yours.

EDIT

My interface is on internal switch.

bro 25gb is a blu ray raw......absolutely loseless. someone ripped it straight off a BD.........you should probably look for things titled BDRips instead. the difference is rips are encoded which in alot of cases is actually better quality as the filters fix some frame errors. the only reason people even upload BD raws is so others can rencode them

People seem to get stupid ideas in their heads that 25gbs must be super high quality. it isn't. most people avoid oversized files because they are generally a sign that the encoder had no idea what hes doing.

(I dump and encode every single BD i buy to play via xbmc and/or plex.):(

I usually buy the Ultraviolet versions as I simply don't have the space for more DVD's or Blu-Rays. And its easier to store it digitally.

Ping works fine when plugged into a hundred meg port. Just not the gig ports.

On interfaces you can disable the 1gbps part of each port, or does it not work even if you do that? But yeah as long as it works. :D

Yep found it there and paid already. Just waiting for my cardboard to be delivered I have quite a few SBS 3D movies :D

On google they give you a pdf and I think eps file. The eps file, you can give it just like that to a laser cutter and the laser cutter can do that google vr out of almost any material for you. Something to think about. :)

Seems like the gig switch chip isn't communicating with the rest of the router.
I can't ping the router from a gig port, and I cant ping devices plugged into the gig ports from the 100mb ports, but I can from other gig ports.

im sure there is a solution somewhere. Maybe bridge a Gb port with the 100mbps port? Don't know if that will work though, never needed anything over 100mbps before. otherwise if your old router has gbps ports just disable dhcp on that and combine the 2?

My bridge has wlan, gig0 and eth6 in it
gig0 is master for gig1-4, eth6 is master for eth7-10

I can ping the wlan from the 100mb ports fine.
I hope this ting isn't faulty...

I did reply, but support queries that require diagnostics to be run should go via our live chat support system as we can't support you directly in the forum.

I contacted Crystal Web live support and they tested the line and said it`s a Telkom line error.... (I thought... sounds like another OpenWeb bull...t answer).

I called telkom... they tested the line and said "you definitely have a line error"

So... I am officially... stunned... lost for words... is this possible? There are actually honest people out there?

I looked at your transcript and the agent even sent you all of the corresponding data to show as much, so yes, we do exist, and yes, they do exist even at Telkom as well. :D

Glad it's being looked in to and fixed on Telkom's side.
