anybody know a good website to stream this weekend's sport at decent speeds. I tried the flash ones like wiziwig and they are horrible in terms of quality and speed. the torrent streams are amazing but it only lasts 5sec then takes upto a min to buffer

Acestream shouldn't do that.
I watched the Rugby on Saturday without an issue.
 
That mweb link that hosts CS:GO is probably held together with duct tape and string. Pings are around 10-300.
 
I am getting this on pingpath. There is major packet loss on step 7 and 8. What is wrong? Anybody else getting this?

Those servers are not responding to icmp packets properly. If you had close to 100% packet lots you'd have no throughput. We've reported this as it is causing some confusion amongst customers. We really suggest to test real world performance rather than the inclination to look at speedtest and over analyzing ping results. When there's an issue, we ask for those though, as it's the best way to send actionable data off to the correct teams. But overall it's real world performance that counts.

It is however something that we're looking in to for some customers who see that crop up, and we're following up on it.

Reason I ask I was chatting Mickey on live chat he mentioned that I am still battling with MASHUP as it continues to buffer. Last night the Mrs and I packed it in as watching was impossible. This is an SD stream.

Any ideas
 
Mashup isn't a protocol it is an aggregation and redirection service. Unfortunately most of the content isn't on CDNs
 
So CW, how's your network coping with all the Apple fans updating to iOS8?

Took a bump, but handled it with aplomb from our perspective. There were one or two minor issues, and we're seeing some higher traffic than usual, but the contention increases aren't affecting services all that much.

As Paul mentioned, MASHUP is an aggregation service, that aggregates from various sources and providers. None of those sources distribute on a CDN node - they're all distributed from VPS services, and to be honest, they're pretty shoddy at the best of times. There's nothing that we can do about them. They change IPs all of the time as they get shut-down on a daily basis. They change hosts. They change content delivery protocols. They're never cached properly. They're forever subjected to congestion on their host's side. Etc.

It's a nice and accessible service, but it's hardly one with $$$ investment behind it, and therefore they don't deliver content locally here in a decent fashion - certainly not a manner that any ISP can claim to prioritise, or even want to setup a separate team to prioritise.
 
Could I please get some kind of indication as to when we can expect the performance of our accounts will improve in PE?

If not by month end, I'll make an alternate temp plan for you guys experiencing troubles in EC. :)

It's one of the archeage servers, and I'm getting huge variants from 200ms to 500ms
